Basic Certificate Course in Family Therapy
(SPRING 2025)
Course Objective
Family therapy is an important development in the field of relationship science. Current research hasshown that it is a particularly effective approach in working with child and adolescent problems, trans-generational conflicts and a range of mental health problems including depression and eating disorders.
This course is designed for human service professionals who are interested in gaining more knowledge in systemic perspective and its application to various professional fields. Using video segments of actual family interviews, the course will cover the theoretical bases, conceptual framework, and skills in marriage and
family therapy.

Certificate of Completion:
Participants with at least 80% attendance will receive a certificate issued by AAFT upon course completion.

ONE live case demonstration session led by Wai-Yung Lee, PhD (Saturdays | 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm)
